Protecting your community from floods

I recently visited a university. Students living away from home for the first time may be unsure what can go down their sinks or toilets. I provided stickers to go up around the accommodation with reminders, like only to flush the three Ps – pee, poo and paper.
I also explained how café and kitchen staff could stop fat, oil and grease clogging their drains, so student and community life can keep moving too.
I work with local organisations to investigate sewer blockages and share tips to keep drains flowing. That way, communities like yours are less likely to suffer a blockage that could cause homes and businesses to flood.
